Think......

I read many quotes because i like to think over them and also to find good status messages...
But this one is long and i like this one very much. Think......

"There are two kind of people in this world; responsible and other irresponsible. Responsible people tries to adopt themselves according to this world, while irresponsible people tries to adapt the world according to them. So all developement depends on irresponsible people."

Hehe dis reminds me of a story in Archies. Ronnie's dad told her once dat her frnds were earning thr pocket money & she too shud learn to be responsible. Ronnie wanted to prove herself so she got a job as a waitress and played havoc on d first day itself. When her dad dropped by to see how she was doing, every1 blamed her for d mess.

Ron gave a smile and told her dad how responsible she had become. Everyone held her responsible for d damage.

:D

wat say?

A friend of mine who is a baniya, fell in love with a maharashtrian konkani girl. There was no objection of sorts, and a wedding was planned. My friends family was not expecting any dowry, but there were demands like what kind of gifts and sweets should be exchanged etc. (the regular indian wedding discussion). The talks went to a level that my friends relationship with his girlfriend/fiance started taking a hit.

One day, he got up (figuratively) and said, I ll be the change. He called his parents, girl in question and her parents to Bombay (a neutral territory, where both parties would have to travel to reach) and told them he will have a court marriage in Pune (place where he and his now fiance met), hometown to none. He said he only wants to marry the girl and nothing else. Everyone is welcome to reach the court.

If any of the two families want to throw a reception, such a thought is welcome. There will be no definition of guest list. Reception will be thrown independently at place of hosts' choice and whosoever wants to attend must make their own arrangements of travel and stay. The financial burden will not be taken by the host and no gifts will be exchanged.

This friend and I have never been and are still not the best buddies. And I am actually proud of him that he did not study just for the sake of it. He actually stood up at a time when it mattered and made it count. I still remember the day he called me and told me all this ( a day after it all happened). I have still not heard a more proud voice. He was proud of himself that day, and I too was proud of him.

He became the change he wanted to witness. And I hope I too become like him, someday.
